What can you say about an author that has 15 reviews and all have given the book a rating of 5 stars? My review makes 16! That tells me that the author is AWESOME!!!! I read the Breck Crew, the Ash Crew, The Gray Back Crew, Kong's Story, Damon's Story, and now the Boarlanders. T. S. Joyce is still ROCKING and ROLLING with Damon's Mountain and all the shifters there and their mates (shifter and human). I loved Bash and Emerson's story. I started it last night just before midnight on the 12th and finished at 600 AM on the morning of the 16th. Couldn't put it down. I laughed, I cried, I got mad, damn, the book even had me wanting to shift to kick some butt!!!! Tried of my shifters being treated ugly and they are just trying to survive and raise their families. Hats off to Ms. Joyce and her shifters on Damon's Mountain. Oh yea, this is one book you do not want to miss.

Bash Kane has been wanting a mate and family for a long time, but their was a ban on females in the Boarlander Trailer Park by the Alpha Harrison. After finding his mate, the Alpha Harrison finally lifts the ban and now Bash is on the prowl. He is looking for his true mate. Bash is in the diner when he meets Emerson Elliott, a shy newspaper editor. It becomes clear to Bash that finding a mate might not be so easy and he has his work cut out for him. Emerson tells Bash that she is only looking for a friend, Bash realizes that he can’t push her because humans don't mate like shifters do. He decides that she is the one and he is going to have to be a patient hunter if he wants to keep Emerson and her curvy body that he likes so much.

Emerson Elliot has moved to her home town hoping to make friends because she tired of being alone, and working from home isn’t helping her meet people.She has been crushing on Bash for a while now. So when Bash sits down beside her at a diner and starts helping her look for friends, Emerson begins to think that the fates are messing with her. She wants this handsome, fun-loving bear shifter, and now the timing couldn’t be worse. She can't afford to fall in love until she sorts out some things that are going on her life right now. Now that the anti-shifters are starting to stir up more trouble it looks like Emerson and Bash may not get to be together.. Will things work out for Emerson and Bash? Can Bash convince her that she is his one true mate?

Oh goodness me! I was IN LOVE with Bash Bear! He was sooooo incredibly sweet and funny. Sexy oh my! He's not necessarily shy but doesnt fool around with many women at all. He's friendly and very welcoming. He broke my heart when he talks about how dumb he thinks he is. He's so clever and smart in his own way like anyone else is. He wears his heart on his sleeve and is a sensitive guy. I loved his character so much. He was so awesome to Emerson even though she rejected him a couple times. I understand where she was coming from but I was mad at her for hurting my Bash! LOL. I did like her but I had trouble understanding why she wanted a baby so bad. She was acting like she was 38 instead of 28. She was lonely and she didnt have anyone and she was burned before and thought this was the way to solve the issue. She didnt wanna give Bash a chance although she has been crushing on him for quite some time. She DOES come to her senses after what Bash did for her and that was just so damn sweet how understanding and accepting he was. Clinton really pissed me off. He's starting to come around very slowly...he's not there yet but soon. He knows more than he's letting on with things. Its horrible what is being done to the shifters now. Ugh. Its a HEA but not totally because of the government/shifter thing going on now. They are able to marry but not "mate" as of yet. Kirk's story is next and lemme tell you I like him a lot. He's awesome and reminds me a lot of Jason except toned down lol. Recommend this read 200%. Love that Bash!
